My approach to therapy is gentle and calm, rooted in warmth and genuine compassion. I want you to feel truly safe, supported and heard in our time together, knowing that everything you share is treated with the utmost respect and confidentiality. You’re welcome to bring whatever is on your mind, no matter how difficult and I’ll be there beside you as we explore those thoughts, feelings, behaviours and experiences together.
I see you as a unique individual and I’m committed to meeting you exactly where you are, with empathy and without judgement. Creating a space for open, honest and heartfelt conversation is at the centre of what I do, because I believe that when you’re able to express yourself and reflect freely, deep understanding and real change can follow. It’s a privilege to witness the personal growth and positive changes that emerge from this process.
Although my practice is grounded in person-centred therapy, I know that each person’s needs are different. If it feels helpful, I might suggest weaving in ideas from other therapeutic approaches, but I will always ensure our work is guided by you—your needs, preferences and pace.
I particularly enjoy bringing creative elements into our sessions, finding ways together to gently explore different aspects of yourself. My belief in a holistic approach to well-being means I encourage you to discover techniques that soothe and nurture both mind and body. Whatever your journey looks like, I’m here to support you in finding greater calm, balance and lasting change.
I have experience of working with abuse, addiction, anger, anxiety, attachment, bullying, change, confidence, depression, divorce, grief & loss, identity, life transitions, neurodiversity, OCD, peer pressure, PTSD, relationships, risk-taking behaviours, self-esteem, self-expression, self-harm, stress, social anxiety, suicidal ideation, and trauma, but am entirely open to exploring any issues arising while working with you.
Session Length: 50 minutes.

My degree in early years education and subsequent career as a primary school teacher provide me with a solid understanding of child development and ability to connect deeply with children of all ages. After qualifying as a therapist, I gained further training in working with children and young adults and invaluable experience working as a school counsellor with a local charitable organisation.
I aim to patiently build a close, trusting therapeutic bond with your child, encouraging them to be their unique self in a relaxed environment. This creates a safe, neutral space to explore and express their inner world, making sense of their thoughts, feelings and experiences without fear of judgement.
I enjoy working creatively, providing a wealth of opportunities for imaginative play using toys, games, sand, drawing, painting, collage, sculpting, puppets, role-play, storytelling and poetry. My role is to follow your child’s play, sensitively reflecting to them what I see and hear. This is an empowering approach, providing them with autonomy and control. It allows your child to explore, process and express the feelings they have been struggling to understand and verbalise.
Where appropriate I may share coping strategies for when ‘big feelings’ become overwhelming, enabling your child to manage and express these in healthy ways.
